Declaration of Performance

No caso dos produtos de construção o fabricante atesta a conformidade do seu produto emitindo uma declaração de desempenho em vez de uma declaração de conformidade.

The criteria associated with the Declaration of performance are defined in Regulation No. 574/2014..

CONTENTS OF THE DECLARATION OF PERFORMANCE

Performance declaration number: This number allows to classify the declaration of performance. It can be the same unique identification code of the product-type.

Unique identification code of the product-type: This code is linked with the declared performance of the product.  It must identify, without any ambiguity, the link between the product and its performance. It can use any code considered useful, including numbers, letters, dates, etc., but you have to be very careful not to repeat the same code in two different products.

Intended use(s): This section must include all the intended uses of the product. Copy the relevant text included in the ZA annex of the harmonised standard or the European Assessment Document.

Manufacturer: Must include, not just your company name, registered trade name or registered trade mark, but also your contact address as a manufacturer. The address can be anywhere in the world.

Authorised representative: The authorised representative must be included in the document only if the manufacturer appointed a representative (or agent). Otherwise, you can delete this section.

System(s) of assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP): System or systems of assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP system), as indicated in annex ZA of the harmonised standard or in the AVCP chapter of the European Assessment Document. If there are several systems, each must be declared and can be included in section 7 (for example, a table).

Harmonised standard: This section must include the reference number of the harmonised standard, including the date on which it was issued according to the Official Journal of the European Union.

Notified Body(s): If certain Notified Bodies have conducted AVCP tasks, the respective identification numbers must be included here.

European Assessment Document: In this section, you must include the reference number of the European Assessment Document, including the date on which it was issued.

European Technical Assessment: Number of the European Technical Assessment issued by the Technical Assessment Body.

Technical Assessment Body: Name of the Technical Assessment Body which issued the European Technical Assessment;

Notified Body(s): If certain Notified Bodies have conducted AVCP tasks, the respective identification numbers must be included here.

Declared Performance: this is the core of the document and consists of the product’s declared performance. It must include the complete list of the essential characteristics for the intended uses have already declared in section 2, as set out in annex ZA of the harmonised standard or the European assessment document. It is possible to declare “NPD” respecting the conditions laid down in the section. The best way to fill out this section, when preparing a DoP in paper form, is to use a table with a row for each essential characteristic and present the performance declared in columns. If several AVCP systems are applied, add new columns.

Appropriate Technical Documentation and/or Specific Technical Documentation: If the product assessment was conducted through a simplified procedure, this section must include the reference or references to appropriate technical and/or specific documentation. The documents must be kept by the manufacturer and only their references should be included in this section.

Additional Information

The unfilled sections can be deleted.

The order of the information can be changed and/or combined, if the combination results in a clearer declaration of performance.

If producing a range of product-types, for which the performance of almost all their declared features is the same, the same document can include the different variants of the product-types, for example, in a table.

In that case, each variant must clearly indicate the number of the Declaration of performance, the identification code referred to in section 1 (if not different from the number of the Declaration of performance) and the declared performance(s) included in section 7. It should ensure that the performance information is clear and unambiguous for each recipient of the product
